For those of you diligent, prepared, and responsible personal tax clients, unfortunately, we cannot Efile your tax returns until CRA opens the system on February 20th.
Don't worry though, we have increased our discount for Early-bird filing; All clients who bring their "complete" personal tax documents to us for preparation and filing before Friday, March 31st, will receive a 20% early-bird filing discount.
For those who need their T1 General and completed 2016 Income Tax and Benefit Return for banking or other purposes, can receive this before February 20th. Just note, that a CRA Notice of Assessment (usually also required by banks/investors/stakeholders), will not be available until a minimum of 2-3 weeks after filing.
